Vehicle Tracking Unit (VTU)

Vehicle Tracking Unit (VTU)

VTU is a navigation device, normally carried by a moving vehicle, that uses the GPS/IRNSS frequency bands to track the device movement and determine the exact position of the vehicle. The recorded data is stored in the on-board memory chip within the tracking unit and same is transmitted to an Internet/GPFtS connected device using a GSM/GPRS module embedded in the unit. This allows the location to be displayed against a map backdrop either in real time or when analyzing the track later, using tracking software.
